Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore V, the King Mettaton ending, details an ending in which Asgore, Toriel, and Undyne are all slain, leaving Mettaton next in line for the throne. He's turned the Underground into an aesthetic corporate dystopian paradise. Humans are to be invited to join his Fan Club. And if they reject it, they die.

Mettaton, as stated, takes the role of Asgore. Nex hasn't exactly joined his fan club, but he's not upset. Far from it. This is the kind of dramatic tension he lives for! He'll simultaneously root for Nex's destruction and for his success...anything for the drama to continue. But how well will that hold up when Mettaton has to face Nex himself?

So here it is. After a year and a half, it's the Megalo for BelowExchange. We know that it stands in the shadow of an infinite amount of Underswap Megalos, and maybe after all this waiting and buildup some of you might be disappointed that it's not some six-minute END OF ALL THINGS homage or something. All I'll say is that we didn't treat this track like it was more special than anything else. Toadie put as much love into this as they did into Beatdown, Den Mother, Camaraderie, The Next Waterworld, Temwhistle...
We treat all tracks equally, so we hope you can all love this one equally too. Thank you for all the support everyone, we've still got some stuff left, but it's been a great ride :)
