Clocking up almost 700,000 streams on Spotify alone for his work as a Bassline producer, Tengu takes his first steps into the world of Drum & Bass with his first single on YANA Music.

His first ever drum & bass single, "Ready for the heat" brings a dark and melancholic intro, with big chords swells reminiscent of classic jungle and drum & bass tracks. Despite being his first foray into the genre, Tengu is no stranger to the sound as the drums and bassline hit with ground-shaking impact.

In classic Viper fashion, new exclusives from the hottest up-and-comers sit alongside the year’s biggest releases from scene veterans Matrix & Futurebound, Cyantific, Rene LaVice, Grafix, Koven, Ekko & Sidetrack , Ruth Royall and more. Bugwell returns to Viper with “Power Out”, a murky yet groovy stomper with impressive intricacy, while The Voss gives us a hefty dose of USDNB with the hair-raising “Must Love Dags” alongside the equally infectious “Need My Love” from Simon Splice. Last but not least, the compilation features a new record from Tengu & Maddy V, featured on Episode 005 of Viper Radio, “Underneath The Shadows”.

2021 has been YANA Music's busiest and biggest year to date without question. First set up in 2019 by UK Dancefloor producer Toronto Is Broken as an output to release solely his own work after parting ways with Viper Recordings has blossomed into something so much more. This year alone had 1.7million streams across 22 releases from 27 different artists, including the original release of Toronto Is Broken's third album "Clare", kickstarting the metal / DnB crossover sound we associate him with now.
