"The Mood" is the result of a meeting such as those that exist during Sound Systems sessions, or exchanges in the darkest hours of the night in the studio... For this 75th release in Free Download on Culture Dub Records, highlighting two young French artists passionate about Reggae and Dub: Prince François Far I and ShaYaman, who together offer a fresh, original riddim, intended to be shared, with its sung, Dub and instrumental versions, but also a Remix by their accomplice Owl Trackers!

"A Sound System-oriented track, 'The Mood' is the riddim resulting from numerous experiments and influences that hold us... 2 years of research to arrive at this UFO that will land directly "In the Brain" ..."

A musician and composer of Roots Music, Prince François Far I has been sharing his saxophonist's breath in Sound Systems sincehis youngest age. Logically launching into production, his compositions are scattered from Dubplates to Dubplates, among the different crews he met around the Jah Highway: Natural Tribulation, Alpha B, Wise Up, Raw Paradigm, Dub Dealing, 48roots, Maka Saiga and Karabasse among others!

ShaYaman is a Reggae, Dub producer affiliated with Maka Saiga Sound, a regular at Reggae sessions in the Grenoble area (grrr Dub Session, Summer Vibes, Alpin'Dub...)! He started producing in 2017 in order to feed the Sound's selection, ranging from UK Dub to more Roots compositions, ShaYaman draws his inspiration from artists such as Gaudí, Lee Scratch Perry, or Zion Train!

"In the Mood, recorded and mixed at At Inner Caves Studio, is also our tribute to King Lee Scratch Perry, who taught us that Dub, or more broadly Reggae, is a creative space with ambiguous boundaries..."

Compositeur-programmeur et dj depuis 1996, U.Stone s’est fait remarquer par la scène underground au sein du groupe « Yen Sound Project », avec lequel il a produit plusieurs maxi vinyl et assure de nombreuses dates dans l’hexagone. 
Par la suite c’est en solo qu’il a poursuivi son travail : producteur activiste aux mul-tiples influences, U.Stone développe plusieurs projets mêlant les différents styles de musique électronique qui le passionnent (Dub, jungle-Drum&Bass, Dubstep, Tri-pHop BreakBeat). Sa musique offre des atmosphères personnelles et originales, entre dub, dubstep et drum and bass, résultant d’un mélange entre mélodies planantes, samples vocaux et abus d’effets appuyés par des assises basse-batterie puissantes et dansantes malgré un côté sombre assumé. 

Après plus de 10 maxi vinyls Drum and Bass, 2LP Dub largement diffusés par le label ODGprod, et des titres apparus sur diverses compiles Dub, U.Stone signe en 2010 une série de productions sur le label anglais Nu Urban Music.  
Son remix de “Décroche pong” des talentueux Tetra Hydro K a été retenu par Jarring Effects pour sa compile JFX bits et vous pouvez aussi retrouver les sons orientés sound system de U.stone sur le nouveau label DUBWISE STATION RECORDS à paraitre courant novembre…avec, entre autre, son titre jungle “BLAZE UP DI FIRE”, co-signé avec ViniSelecta et Fu-Steps ( www.dubwisestation.co.uk).
