Exploring some of NI’s best DJs filmed in Bangor’s old Court House we welcome Paddy Chambers.

Paddy Chambers is an exciting name and already a familiar face in the NI club scene since making his first club appearance at the age of 16 in his hometown of Ballycastle. Now still only 24, Paddy holds a residency at Thompsons Garage, as well as appearances at the Telegraph Building, and multiple SHINE events including the forthcoming Amsterdam Weekender festival this September. 

Production-wise, Paddy has released EPs with the London-based Part Four Records, as well as Middlesbrough's Paradiso Records, earning his first R1 spin from Jaguar (BBC Introducing Dance) and catching the ear of various club DJs like Brame & Hamo, Elliot Adamson, Krystal Klear, Cormac to name a few... Moving to Liverpool in September Paddy hopes to continue his success within the clubs and pursue his dream career of playing music to the masses.

Crilli is NI's longest running regular drum and bass event, first appearing only a stone's throw from Bangor Court House at The Windsor Bar back in 2005. 
Through the years Crilli has played host to several key figures within local and international dnb scenes, holding parties in Belfast, Bangor and Portrush and appearing at festivals including AVA, Sunflower and Bangor's own Open House. 
Crilli's original resident and chief promoter is David Campbell aka Bad Operator, who chips in with Crilli's contribution to our mix series.

Jungle Book Legion presents The Court House Sessions. Exploring some of NI’s finest DJs, this week welcome close friend and talented producer Brién.

Brién is the alias of Irish producer Peter Brien, a member of label and collective Soft Boy Records. After releasing the Tandem EP with Soft Boy Records in 2018 , the multi-instrumentalist and Belfast boy Brién followed it up with a second inning at the label, 'DIY VOL. 1' released in July 2020. He has since produced tracks with Kojaque, Kean Kavanagh and Archy Moor among many more.

Reger is the newest project from 20-year-old, DJ and producer, Robbie McCammon. Having only entered the Irish DJ circuit in mid-2019, Reger has quickly become an exciting talent, whether it be in the booth or on the radio. 

A dedicated crate digger, Reger constantly looks at ambitious ways to present different styles of music from all corners of the world, implementing eclecticism and specialist selections in every set. 

In 2021, Reger played numerous prestigious events and stations including AVA Festival, Plain Sailing, Subtle Radio, Neighbourhood Watch, JikaJika Festival supporting Special Request, Or:la, Daniel Avery and many more. 

Reger’s passion for radio is , inspired by the likes of Gilles Peterson, Benji B and Tom Ravenscroft, he approaches radio differently to a club setting, having been a Subtle Radio resident for most of 2021, he explores various corners of World Music and Jazz records, both old and new.

Belfast based RADIUM has quickly moved through the ranks of the Belfast underground music scene, quickly establishing himself as a credible support act that resonates the same energy as any headliner, any time.

With a passion for producing driving techno and atmospheric breaks, RADIUM has established his residency within Wonderlust Group with memorable performances, supporting acts including DJ Rush, Rebekah, Bas Mooy and Anetha to name a few.

Finally our final installment of our Court House  Sessions, we welcome DJ veteran and producer Timmy Stewart with an all local mix!

If you ask anyone about the house & techno that emits from Ireland then chances are Timmy “T-Bone” Stewart’s name will crop up.
 
From not-so-humble beginnings receiving his first break, warming up for Carl Cox at the seminal ‘Kelly’s’ in his homeland of Northern Ireland, Timmy went on to secure a residency at David Holmes’ influential Art College events, where he quickly developed a reputation for his Djing skills and extensive knowledge of quality electronics. It was this early scholarship that laid the roots to Timmy’s future endeavours, founding the popular Belfast parties, Digital Boogie, Tsunami and Islandhopper which cemented his position as a key player in the Belfast club scene.
 
A string of killer releases for Manchester’s Paper Recordings, San Diego’s Siesta Records and co founding the Product Deluxe label meant Timmy’s increased following did not go unnoticed and he went on to become the resident and in-house booker for the legendary Shine events and sister venue The Stiff Kitten before taking up monthly residencies at Yello, Love & Death, the Hudson, Aether & Foundry.
 
He has remixed everyone from Andrew Weatherall to Xpress 2 had material featured on albums for American house institutions Trax & Strictly Rhythm, collaborated with vocalists Robert Owens & Abe Duque and presently forms one half of the leadership on the forward thinking Extended Play imprint.

Timmy’s recent Boiler Room set, T-Bone productions, weekly residency at “The Night Institute” and monthly “To The Bone” internet radio show all contribute to maintaining his position as one of the most respected DJs on the Irish scene.

Jurassic 5 debuted nationally in 1995 from TVT Records with their first single, "Unified Rebelution". 

Jurassic 5 released their first record, Jurassic 5 EP, in 1997. After Jurassic 5 put out their first record, it "cemented their position in the 1990s alternative hip hop movement, alongside artists such as Company Flow, Black Star and Kool Keith."

The group later signed to Interscope Records and the EP was repackaged with additional tracks and released in December 1998 as the full-length, eponymous debut album entitled Jurassic 5.

In a 2002 interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, the group explained the origin of their name. Chali 2na revealed, "I played the song to my friend’s mother and she made a joke: ‘You guys think you sound like the Fantastic Five, but you sound more like the Jurassic Five.’ And we started laughing but, well, the name stuck."

This was followed by their second album Quality Control, which peaked at on the Billboard 200.

In 2002, they released their third album, Power In Numbers which peaked at on the Billboard 200 chart.

Jurassic 5 eventually toured without Cut Chemist, who left the group to pursue a solo career. The remaining five members released their fourth and final album, Feedback, on July 25, 2006. The album peaked at on the Billboard 200.

The group split in 2007. Reasons for the break-up were attributed to disagreements among members of the group.

In 2013, the group re-formed, including the return of Cut Chemist, for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and an international tour, primarily in the UK but also including dates in Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Japan and the United States. They played at Glastonbury in 2014 and had a Word of Mouth Reunion Tour during the Summer of 2014.

In 2016, they released their first new song in a decade "Customer Service".
