It is rare to find artists capable of underpinning over an hour of variety in a single set. 

Conrad Subs is not just a junglist. He is not just an old school producer. He is the epitome of drum and bass, and he truly understands what this music is about. 

This mix contains work from what I consider to be Conrads' best albums and EP's. 

More Than Just a Little Bit Better, which is the first album you'll hear from, has a modern, energetic funk that I've genuinely not experienced anywhere else. The energy in each track is simply electric and it was a challenge to decide whether they should be reserved for the opening stanza or saved to finish with a pop. Whether I made the right choice is up to you.

The Horizon Leans Forward, the second album I will mention, is, in Conrads own words, something the DNB scene sees less and less of these days.. It's an actual Album. It has a story, emotion and is a force of nature. There are only a handful of tracks from this Album in the mix, but you'll recognise that only a handful are needed to emit the true power within. 

Tides, my favourite Conrad EP, is perhaps the closest thing to an old school rave I'll ever hear. It has a raw, nostalgic feel that send shivers through me and truly makes me question whether the scene today is missing something. Do you know what? 

Leff them dead, Heaven, Noodles, the rest ain't Jungle, the work with Deep in the Jungle and the unreleased dubs.. I could go on and it wouldn't even be hard because Conrads library seems to just go on and on and on and on.. 

I don't subscribe to the idea that mixes need to be as long as possible every time.. When it wraps itself up, seal the box and send it. However, this mix could have wrapped itself up at the 45 minute mark or the hour mark and it would have felt natural. I just couldn't have forgiven myself for leaving out so much quality. You know, this isn't about bangers and tunes that slap. This is about depth, variety, consistency and RESPECT GOD DAMNIT! 

As always, these are my opinions and mine alone. I'm not trying to convince you of anything and the mix itself is my interpretation of another man's music so please try to separate me from the mix and the mix from the individual tracks... if that makes sense? (lol)
