JDNB Manager, Bren hits us with his latest mix just in time for Christmas!
Bren starts off with a couple of lively bass heavy tracks. Then it flips and becomes pretty nasty, continually changing from drum and bass to jungle. He then closes his mix down with some beautiful vocal liquid and atmospheric drum & bass goodness.

Never did I think that I would be posting these tunes in the this circumstance.  RIP to a legend and friend. Skibadee was working on an album to be released under the Sony label in 2010. I was a main contributing producer. The project got shelved. All of these songs were demo quality. I have what I believe was to be the entire album but I am not posting any other producers songs. I hope you enjoy this mix and celebrate Skibadee's life and contribution to Drum and bass music. Thank you Skibadee for making music with me.  Deal with the matter. Deal with it proper.

The "JDNB Family" mix series is focussed on the artists we have working with us at JDNB and the second entry is a jungle and drum & bass mix brought to you by Bren.

Bren has been a part of the JDNB journey and family from very early on, from Editor, to Chief Editor, and now the JDNB Website Manager.

Hailing from County Durham in the North East of England, Bren's music legacy picked up traction in 1984 when he first began mixing hip-hop and electro, then progressing onto the underground realms of breakcore. After showing the many strings he has to his bow, then witnessing the birth of jungle and drum & bass, this is now all Bren mixes (apart from an occasional flirt with breakbeat).

Now residing in East London, Bren still thrives on the old-school jungle style and, even though they are recently released, you will find that the tracks in this mix all hold the same old-school fundamentals.
