The need to inform has transformed seamlessly into a desire to contribute. Platonics 01 reflects our long-term alertness to our surroundings, it is an impulse to reassess our priorities. Some things cannot be left for tomorrow.

Gin&Platonic is the common sense of the long-abandoned extroverts, the newfound introverts, and of those constantly in-between. It's comfortable but challenging at times. A matter of intuition. It's something sentimental about being cynical. It is a state of double-edged irony.

The Secret Weapon (GEN040) by @mycruelty is a tapestry of ambiguous harmony, rolling synth stabs and sparse, syncopated drum patterns. With endless and never tiring reinforcement, slow - or phantom? - template shifts undergo sudden phase transitions: icy house piano phrases undergo a process of mini counterpoint, later on even complemented by acidic permutations. As the boundaries between tracks dissolve, a dance floor ready scintillating grid illusion unveils itself.

Edited Arts is launching My Promises by My Cruelty.

The St. Petersburg artist, producer and DJ Lyudmila Severtseva aka My Cruelty comes through with an uplifting and emotional EP of acid-tinged dance explorations. Synthetic digi-pop, with ‘pop’ referring more so to the light explosive sound rather than the area of music itself. 5 tracks of hopeful sour candy.

My Promises is a logical continuation and development of recent albums on Genot Centre and #internetghetto. Her music has previously been described as “Imagine Mark Fell crossed with “Avril 14th” and you’re not far off. In this EP, My Cruelty continues to interpret the real. With connections between people becoming more and more invisible, the promised can be more difficult to fulfil. This love, strength, perseverance, patience. The most beautiful thing is to illuminate the life of the person you love, and those who need this light.

My Cruelty - The Flickering Light

N/OBE is a Zagreb-based producer, DJ, radio host, film and theatre composer, and promoter. Half a year ago he made his first appearance on the global club scene with the track Cistern, released on the Italian label Early Reflex — 2020 will also see him releasing his debut club-focused EP, exploring traditional Southern Slavic music and folklore through a compressed, contemporary cinematic sound palette.

Originally recorded in September as part of SUTRA’s Common stream for Currents.FM, this live set has lots of uninhibited, wonky, fuck-all moments in it, including early versions of pieces that will feature on my upcoming EPs and a 9-minute unfinished treatment of a Severina song. Not sorry for the noise.
