"Five years after the first volume, ARENA01, Agva Records is back with ARENA02, a mega-pack of almost forty tracks focusing on the experimental and hybrid club scene of Latin America.

Released in 2016, the first chapter laid the foundations of the label and unveiled a solid tracklisting composed of close and local members of the collective (Defensa, EL PLVYBXY, CHLO…) and international producers (King Doudou, Bigote).

For this second edition, the label did not go easy and gathered a real festival line-up. ARENA02 features projects from all over the continent and beyond, from emerging artists to real headliners: Dengue Dengue Dengue, Lao (NAAFI, Mexico), Bungalovv (TRRUENO, Argentina), Endgame (Precious Metal, UK), Catnapp, Doxxed, Pobvio, or even the Mexican producer who signed the revival of pre-Hispanic tribal, Ozomatecuhtli. Among others!"

Within the spawn of six years we met so many wonderful people and grew as independent artists and collective in an unprecedented way, this compilation being the visible tip of an iceberg of goals we never dream they would be realizable. Fresh off being crowned as one of our top labels of 2018, TT (@tobago-tracks) is continuing its industrious and impressive form into 2019 with a new EP from South London-based artist hmurd (@hmurdoch). 

The UK outlet has earned respected status for its dedication to pushing a vanguard of experimental producers making music on their own terms, and hmurd’s three-track outing ‘Boycott Ethical Consumption’ bolsters the imprint’s next-level repertoire. 

EP closer ‘Shepard’s Delight’ is an intense, compelling club concoction that places you in the swirling frenzy of 3am with a clarity of thought declaring: “this bangs”. Piercing tones are grounded in earth-shattering bass, raising adrenaline, before collapsing into a chaotic catharsis of clattering percussion and demented church chimes.
