A producer and live performer who has been exploring dance music for more than a decade, @rroxymore's sound is immersive, covering techno, hip hop, house, synthwork, new age, and beyond. Since her first forays into production in her native France, she touched down in Berlin, where the world of music opened up for her even further, and her most recent release, 2025’s #JugglingDualities, was her most honest and far-reaching album to date. In this conversation, rRoxymore and I discuss the musician’s journey to finding her voice in her early days, and reaffirming that voice with her latest productions.

Berlin-Hamburg duo Session Victim bring their celebrated Sidequests trilogy to a close with Chapter Three on Delusions Of Grandeur, wrapping up the series in signature style—full of warmth, groove and left-of-center touches that remind us why their music has remained so enduring over nearly two decades. Once again blurring the lines between live instrumentation, crate-digging textures and deep house aesthetics, the record feels like both a culmination and a new beginning.

Opening the A-side, Too Soft To Be Loud (Ian Pooley Remix) finds German house pioneer Ian Pooley reworking the original into a sleek, floor-focused roller. Shuffling drums, glowing synth pads, and that distinctive Pooley touch elevate the track into prime late-night territory, striking a balance between hypnotic subtlety and groove-driven energy.

DJ HISTORY: (In the words of Maxim Sullivan) "He was a prolific DJ but didnt really have an amazing career at it. Was hamper living in Dorset and not being able to drive. First big set was at a large Free Party in Crewkern, Somerset at 16 years old.
Had a bit of a stint on Ninja Tunes Solid Steel Radio show.
Helped start a local underground night with me and a few mates in the Late 90s early 2000 called UMUK (Underground Movement UK) was in a club called the beehive which was actually a football ground club where local raves started in the 90s. Club-u-Like and Flying Saucer night. He wasn't old enough to get in when they were on but he DJed at them anyway. Always smashing it.
Used to DJ every weekend during the early 2000s at a Cafe he worked in Called Number 10. But never any clubs as there wasn`t really any local to him.
Has DJ` ed a good few local festivals. The Forbidden garden party was the last big one he did. 
There are loads of other one off nights I cant remember right now, and he DJ` ed at Eastern Bloc for Below Ground in Manchester a few weeks before he died".

TOP_JOCKS: "JAMES BAKER" - DEMONSTRATION PURPOSE - DJ MIX SERIES

Every so often a plum opportunity presents itself. The best ones are timeslips - for a few hours things can be turned on their heads and anything is possible: Ecstatic dancing at an immersive deep listening party? Sure. No mixing? Yup. We’ll just play wonky emotional bangers about joy? 100%!

On Saturday 12th October that’s pretty much exactly what happened at The Baths in Hackney Wick, London. A few hundred of us joined together to dance for hours on end, but the communal release, the expression of love and joy ended up being so much more than that. This recording captures something of the spirit of that moment. We hope you can feel it as much as we did.
