Written by Gash, Shammy and Gash's brother Vim. Whilst jamming in a studio, the main bass riff was Gash's, the chorus was Vim's. Presenting the track to the rest of the band the chorus was re-written to keep close to the Junker sound.

This is the song that made Chris Denby want to join the band!

The song is exactly what it says on the tin... Serial killer meets boy next door, but boy next door turns out to be far more unhinged.

About a stalker/ bully constantly harassing his victim until finally being captured but with a twist, the capture then turns on it’s head and ends up the victim killing the stalker and escaping…

The song contains the famous “BEEP, BEEP” lines. These were originally meant to be text message beeps, and Gash ended up shouting “BEEP BEEP” during the recording so he knew where to put the FX in during the mix. They stayed because everyone in the studio was wandering round shouting.....

Zombie town was the first song Junker wrote as a 3 piece in 2006. 

The riff was loved but they couldn’t fit lyrics to it. It was initially recorded and Gash hummed along melodies but nothing seemed right. The song was consigned to the back burner until they could find and fit lyrics.

Heavily influenced vocal melodies from Tool and A Perfect Circle. Zombie town is Crewe… and The dead are walking.

Junker are a heavy rock band from the United Kingdom, formed by Gavin “Gash” Ashley out of the ashes of Emotional Baggage and Def Penalty. Junker are known for their brutal live performances, colliding heavy rock, hardcore punk, indie and funk into a melodically thunderous bass driven assault with dark psychological themes.

They have pushed onwards and upwards since 2008, grabbing the attention of promoters and other bands alike. Growing as performers, blowing away new audiences and demolishing venues with their massive sound.

Junker has a very strong rock pedigree. Gash was the bassist and songwriter in Emotional Baggage who won the battle of the bands in 1997. He then toured the USA in 2001 as stand in singer for the legendary punk band, Skeptix. Dylan is the son of Mott the Hoople’s original guitarist and grew up in and around Rockfield studio in Monmouth.

Their first self-financed mini album, was recorded and produced by Punk legend Steve “Fish” Brookes from the Skeptix in his Cheshire studio.

Junker will be returning to the studio late 2011 to lay down brand new tracks that have been gig honed over the last year. Which studio…which producer…we’re not saying…yet.
