A half an hour ago I wasn't really coherent,

All I can think about is her talking from the bathroom,
and when she walks back in talking about her day.
She moves behind a curtain, and I see her silhouette.
Her smooth voice covers her hand pulling a pistol.

I dove over the bedpost, and the thud of bullets hits the mattress.
Glock ready in my hand, I should have known.
I grab and pull the lamp cord, throw it at her.
She's too pro to let it throw her off, but slightly...

I dart through the living room, firing shots to throw her off.
The light of the city outside as I dive onto the gantry. 
I rush down thinking no bullet lead in my chest, it's all good.

Somewhere I'll see her again.  Next time I'll be ready.
It's either her or I'm dead.

The bum in the alley mouths off on listerine.
The quick crunch of my foot steps must be a give away.
She doesn't appear; I hit the night life and disappear.
The bar is surging and I get out on the floor.

[Sep162023]  I'm remixing/fixing ALL of my songs over again.   ...85% there.  Sounding much (much!) better.  ...then can create NEW songs!   Apologies if I don't reply or chk your music, for now.

The name JunkHeap came from sometimes going back over bits and pieces of song ideas that I came up with in the past - picking through the junk heap to add to a new song idea.

JunkHeap is a solo, rock/alternative rock music project.  Unapologetic, thought-provoking, emotionally raw music for the masses...
