This is for the ToastBeard pony related weekly compo, this weeks theme was "How a rainbow is made"

So with taking a darker tone on this it wouldn't make much sense without lyrical content, sucks for you, HAR HAR.

Now A Rainbow's tale isn't quite as nice as the story we knew of sugar and spice
But a rainbow's easy once you get to know it with the help of the magic of a pegasus device

Let's delve deeper into rainbow philosophy
Far beyond that of cloudsdale's mythology
It's easy to misjudge that floating city
With it's alluring decor and social psychology
But with all great things comes a great responsibility
That of Cloudsdale's being weather stability
How, you ask, are they up to the task
To which the answer is in a simple facility

So, a while ago now I made a little ROM hack titled "An Ordinary Sonic ROM Hack", that had absolutely nothing new in it whatsoever. Pfft. It was based on that creepypasta Sonic.exe which, while fun in itself, the actual game that was made was just a little bit.. lacking. So, I endeavoured to create a challenging ROM hack out of the idea, and An Ordinary Sonic ROM Hack was born.

One of the more fun parts of making it was Hill Zone's music. Only the sheet music existed at the time as a point of reference, and converting that over was.. interesting. It took a good evening to get everything into FL Studio, and then another to get it sounding similar to what it was meant to (finding the main FM voice was a pain, but the other was just a ring).

The main fun, though, was converting to SMPS. I had to wipe out any release or volume change on the FM voice itself, control the whole lot through volume control calls, and then reverse the whole thing for the full effect. It was successful, though, and sounded just like it was meant to.

So, here's an arranged version, just because. I haven't heard any of these myself yet, although I'm sure they exist. I tried to get the backing creepy but not overbearing, and the lead not too overpowering but not smothered. Hopefully I was successful.

[DELTARUNE] - THE WORLD REVOLVING [Remix]

I noticed that in the title of Deltarune, there was a variation of Gaster's motif where the melody paused before the notes swept down lower again. I wanted to elaborate on this kind of melody and try to make a character theme this way. I hope you enjoy my little experiment!
