traverse is proud to announce the release of its first record - a compilation of six tracks from various artists, inspired by Pembroke King’s poem moving silhouettes, written for this occasion.

As the fourth volume of the compilation series “traversée”, moving silhouettes encourages artists to explore all corners of listening music and creative avenues that aren’t tied to any one convention.

Pembroke King’s poem sheds light on the mood of the compilation, and even though each artist brings its own interpretation of it, there is a beautiful harmony of it all - from Kate Miller’s atmospheric sounds to Teqmun’s drums-made-of-rain-drop-recordings or Ghjuliú’s nostalgic melodies, the listener travels around Pembroke’s words with each track.

As our first physical release, we feel honoured to collaborate with artists who have been involved in a way or another on traverse before such as Officium, Mika Oki and Alohn, but Kate Miller, Teqmun, and Ghjuliú, that we’ve been keeping close to our heart for a long time already.

Teqmun - Waddling on Wet Stones (traversée04)

We are very excited to welcome London-based artist Tooth Rust for her All Centre debut, as she follows up her standout Glut EP on Early Reflex. Her new release pushes deeper into the fringes of club experimentation with four warped, overdriven tracks that fuse grime, breaks and twisted techno sounds into raw, unpredictable forms.

Gullet Glue lurches into action with off-kilter kicks to introduce a stuttering, hypnotic groove. Rapid-fire claps exchange with bursts of noise while a woozy, abstract melody weaves through the chaos. In its latter half, the track intensifies, sharpening its percussive edges and dragging a sludgy, DnB-adjacent bassline into the mix.

Rude Mechanicals adopts grime sonics with a pummeling eski-like bassline and frantic shards of MC chatter. The track shifts these sounds into a hard-hitting club track, with pounding kicks and whirring hi-hats, sure to send any dancefloor into a frenzy.

Tecque slows the tempo but keeps the tension high, leaning into splintered dub percussion and cascading breakbeats. Perfectly executed breaks career around the mix as the track builds to a trippy, atmospheric middle section with warped vocals and an earworm melody. The frantic melodics combine with crashing breaks in a flying final third.

The EP closes with Time chits, where a lurching digi-plucked melody and intricate percussion fold into a rubbery, mutated club rhythm. The track switches up in the second half with a twisted bassline warping amongst stuttering kicks and frenzied bursts of melody.

After acclaimed edits and remixes in recent years, we've decided to sign what we consider to be Colombia's most exciting new talent: Brenda. The Bogotá-based artist presents "Húmedo", a three-track EP that brings together and consolidates high design, playful melodies, and sharp percussion that strongly collides UK and Colombia’s sound influences. In short, a great example of the current state of the Sur América bass technology.

This time there are no remixes, but on A1, the single we're releasing today before the full EP comes out on August 22nd, there's a stellar Colombian collaboration. After the celebrated "Ronaldinho hace la elástica" and a remix for Dengue Dengue Dengue & Prisma, Verraco returns to the label to inject his gnarly FM synthesis and meticulous design into "Rápido & Lento ;)". Following his debut EP Foreign Exchange, Somatic Rituals co-founder returns to the label with Clepto Loop: a track shaped for high-energy club settings. Driven by hypnotic, hard-hitting kicks and sizzling, textured sound design, the track leans into a raw, functional aesthetic. Repetitive vocal fragments loop throughout, creating a sense of tension and propulsion that blurs the line between Techno and Bass. A pure DJ tool with personality — Somatic Rituals re-ups the energy with this stripped-back, bass-weighted belter.

All proceeds from this release will be donated directly to support the Abu Zereiq family in Gaza.

Jensen Interceptor isn’t normally one to stay still but after a freak accident left him with multiple fractures in his foot he was forced to stop and take a few months off. Luckily for us he put all the pent-up energy into his new LP, Interception, out this week on his International Chrome imprint. The LP pulls in influence from IDM, Footwork, and Baile Funk to create his most experimental work yet.

As part of our ongoing efforts to look for top notch sound designers across the globe, we fell upon the auteur of our next release. The parisian De Grandi and his turbo-charged club beats serve us a filled platter of 4 Tracks and two remixes in ‘Testa Dura’.

Going through a thick bass + crisp percs combo and perpetual crescendos we start things off with the main course — and title track: a dubstep to tribal hybrid launching at full throttle across a universe of trickling electronics. A taster of what’s to come, a record packed with intricacies and high risk dubs.

This time we got two remixes from three producers in the UK:FR wavelength, Beatrice M. with their signature Dubstep elegance + the can you feel the sun duo Call Super + Parris injecting the house flare with the finger snapping vocals.
