You know that long hot days are fast approaching when it is Brazilian music that you crave. Thankfully the Scruniversal has got us covered with a second release that is as scorching as the first. It pairs MPB, samba and Latin flair with hard-edged hip-hop and funk stylings across a pair of tunes from Scruscru, each one a different collaboration. The first is alongside Tony Lavrutz and has gorgeous vocals and organic percussion paired with cut-up beats and jazzy keys that will ignite any floor on 'Rave Du Brazil.' It is Los Protos's jazz funk groover 'Primavera' that gets the good vibes going on the flip.

Dream house originator and downright house legend Don Carlos keeps up his recent renaissance in rather spectacular style with a blistering three track EP on @freerangerecords. Landing this Friday on digital and vinyl this one is a get in quick job as the vinyl is limited to 250 copies and blink and those will be gone.

Following up sublime releases and remixes on Razor-N-Tape, Wolf Music and Irma this could be Don Carlos finest release to date since his return to the scene. Featuring the Morodor-esque I'm Steel Here, with it's delicious piano breakdown and throbbing basline, the off cantor deep euphoric groove of Azimuth and the loopy brilliance of In The Sky it's an EP oozing with class.

Dan Shake, Kaidi Tatham, Jamie 3:26 on Toy Tonics! Yes. Toy Tonics lead artist Cody Currie released his debut album on the Berlin label last year and now here come the remixes! Pure dancefloor joy is guaranteed with this release. The names speak for themselves. And they really made effective DJ weapons out of Cody's very organic sounding, warm, soul-driven jazzy house songs. 

Cody by now doesn't need a big introduction anymore. While we wait for the next Dancing With Friends Vol.3 V/A album to drop later this summer SlothBoogie give us our next fix with a new spin off called Remixing With Friends. As you’d guess from the name… the project invites their global roster of friends and family of the label to take a deep dive through the SB archive and pick out some tracks to remix and make their own.
