This compilation now available on my new Bandcamp page (see link) contains tracks that were started in Impulse Tracker between 2000-2002 in both Holland and the UK and were never finished for various reasons. One was I couldn't be bothered, another one was my PC was too slow, but the main one was that I switched to FL Studio in 2002, lured by the promises of using VST's, automation and stereo samples.

It would take me 11 years before I went back to tracking using Renoise which gave me the opportunity to open these tracks again to see how time had passed in 10+ years. The truth was that most of the tracks should be rightfully left alone and were just ideas going nowhere. Any producer is familiar with this, so this was no problem. Some tracks were still sounding interesting to me though. Despite their age and sometimes horrible sample quality these were really meant to be finished at some point but this simply didn't happen.

As I was learning Renoise, the idea came to mind to practice on a selection of these tracks and see what would happen. For ten years I worked on and off on these tracks for fun and nostalgia, not really bothered if it was going nowhere. But against all odds this resulted in this very compilation of tracks that I could and wanted to finish. For me it's fun to listen to, but maybe for you too.
