My first recorded mix in my fave genre! Made a bunch of mistakes here but it's not *too* bad listening back. Next time I want to find a lot more classic tunes from before 2015, when I first got into DnB, and try to vary the mood a bit more cos this feels like it doesn't really switch gear much. Fun time playing it thru though 💖

DnB Practice Mix 01 - 15th December

My first live set! Massive thanks to De La Casa for the opportunity and to Brixton Radio for hosting us. I was going for a cheeky, bouncy, sexy vibe with this set and I am so happy with how it felt to play on the night. The studio was PACKED and the energy in the room was amazing.

I started learning to mix intending to play Drum & Bass - and I will - but when I saw the lineup for last night's show and how much great DnB was going to be playing I figured it would be more fun to bring something a bit different. My friend encouraged me to give Garage a chance a month or so ago and it's been so much fun getting my head into the genre. So thanks to the serendipity that brought me to the decision to put this set together, I will definitely be leaning in to this style.
