When I made this demo, I was still figuring out how to mix and produce my music and create the sound I wanted, and this version of "Lou" definitely captures some of that uncertainty and inexperience (it was also recorded just a few months after I taught myself guitar--and was the first track I ever recorded guitar for), but 3 years later this version of "Lou" still holds a very special place in my heart. Maybe it's just nostalgia speaking, but I think this demo captures something very tender and beautiful in a way no other version of this song does. I hope you enjoy it.
