Beirut-based System Revival Records released a phenomenal compilation named "Rust," featuring tracks by Inland, Cøre, Polygonia, and John Plaza, to name a few. The fifth compilation in their catalog aims to raise funds for humanitarian aid for refugees. Most currently, for the people of Ukraine who have been forced to flee their homes due to Russian military invasion.
Our premiere for today, "Shimmering Illusion," comes from our usual suspect, Polygonia. IO records co-founder known for her exquisite talent to make groovy Deep Techno, delivers yet another late-night trippy journey that has dance floor DNA all over it. "Shimmering Illusion" has an exceptional groove in its core, but this time it's the "sticky sound" of synths that make all the difference.
"Rust" is out via System Revival Records.

Growing up surrounded by many musical influences Mark Fahey found music and sound gave some of the most intense pleasures in life. In his late teens he mastered the art of the turntable. At age 20 he started making a living filling dance floors in clubs, discos,  and events in California, which earned him the name California Disco Legend Mark Fahey later in life. He started producing a limited amount of original music in 1996 - 1998 using it in his personal library at events. As a youth, having  been 'programed' by his Father’s eclectic taste for rare rhythm heavy music, it was instantly easy for him to interpret the ever changing genres of music into crowd pleasing aural journeys even early in his DJ career, Mark says “ you have to get into the dancer’s head” -
