‘BAQA’ takes the lead, hurling us into some deep trance manoeuvres with its voodoo style chant and hunch-backed creepy chord progression. Total drama, done with class; there’s a lot of fun to be had with a track like this. ‘Jingo’ follows suit with another narrative-like atmosphere. Powered with a deep drive, laced with a little electro charm and armed with an elevated twist onto a whole other melodic plane just when you least expect it, this one’s so detailed you’ll find it hard to mix out of.

Finally we have the brilliantly-titled ‘Rave Dave’. Thundering drums, rising chords, creepy FX and a momentum that locks you in like it’s 1991 all over again, an industrial strength EP deserves an industrial strength finale. Everyone knows a rave Dave – the type of soldier who could dance all weekend and still be fresh for a Monday – well these are the sounds that loop in his mind. Now they’ll loop in yours.

Hailing from Granada, Spain, Mordisco is the collaborative DJ and production moniker of Hugo and Angel. As organizers and curators of the Mordisco Club evenings in their hometown, the duo has played a big part in bringing high ranking tastemakers to the area, ranging from Red Axes, Fort Romeau and John Talabot, over to Pional and Jeniffer Cardini. Their production work recently found home on My Favorite Robot Records and Coloray’s freshly forged Intercept imprint.

Continuing to blur the lines between contemporary electronics, Mordisco lands on Atomnation with their vivid three tracker 'Ventura'. Our pick of the bunch 'Odissi' showcases the duo's trademark retro tinged disco and deep house sound, brimming with psychedelic reminiscences, vibrant percussions and hypnotic progressions.

After making its mark as a significant release on the Hummingbird By BPZ imprint, the Future Legend “Mental Menthology” LP sits comfortably amongst the collections of modern day electronic music fanatics, so it only seems fitting that this February the label will release a special remix package following on from the album. The three track remix EP meanders through fantastic productions from DoubtingThomas (Eastenderz, Organic), Georgios Papamanoglou (Deep Series, Mixx Rec) and label founder Benjamin Philippe Zulauf, all of these affiliated with the label in past times.

Opening track “Tickling Whispers” is remixed by the established DoubtingThomas who shows no signs of slowing down in recent times. The remix consists of trickling and pensive synths that maneuver around a clean drum arrangement. The Georgios Papamanoglou D.S.R remix revolves around a slick acid bass groove, melding with the emphatic hi-hats, and flickering vocal, ideal for peak time sets. Founder of the label Benjamin Philippe Zulauf certainly does the release justice with his moody and mysterious twist on mentally undressing, chugging amidst a hazy morning of curiosity, and deep thoughts.

Future Legend A1 Tickling Whispers (DoubtingThomas Remix)

Growing up surrounded by many musical influences Mark Fahey found music and sound gave some of the most intense pleasures in life. In his late teens he mastered the art of the turntable. At age 20 he started making a living filling dance floors in clubs, discos,  and events in California, which earned him the name California Disco Legend Mark Fahey later in life. He started producing a limited amount of original music in 1996 - 1998 using it in his personal library at events. As a youth, having  been 'programed' by his Father’s eclectic taste for rare rhythm heavy music, it was instantly easy for him to interpret the ever changing genres of music into crowd pleasing aural journeys even early in his DJ career, Mark says “ you have to get into the dancer’s head” -

Most of the playlists that I’ve created on SoundCloud are either remixes or original versions of tracks that I have always found push at the musical edge of the time period recorded in.
Contemporary styles mixed with classics in an eclectic stew.

I post limited original work here, many tracks are just part of the musical phases that I seem to always go through and if you like any of it cool.
I believe if the day ever comes that I stick with one trend or genre, that is the day I will musically die.
