Taking inspiration from the indigenous culture of the island of Taiwan and its ancient chants to summon the Ancestral spirits, ‘Entheos’ is a three-tracker where B E N N brings to life a club-convulsing blend of leftfield techno experiments and Taiwanese traditional sounds. 
For this work B E N N collaborated also with ‘Beat of Kaohsiung’, a collective from southern Taiwan, who contributed to the EP playing taiko, didgeridoo and vocals, to complement the hard drums and bass focussed productions of the producer from Taipei. 

Mystical vocals progressions opens ‘Shan-Yu’, a darker and more introspective track structured around a distorted koto melody supported by a didjeridoo bass continuum and incessant bit-crushed percussions.

Milan-based producer and multimedia artist Bladeblanc contributes to Early Reflex’s second birthday compilation Flex003 with a mutant bass club tool. 

Early Reflex is the Turin-based label run by Alec Pace. Over the last two years, the label has championed emerging artists from across the globe who are very much leaning within that experimental, club music realm. These artists include Sobolik, Lorica, Ikävä Pii, B E N N and more. Flex003 is a clear embodiment of the label’s ethos as Bladebanc is joined by Alec Pace himself as well as Hassan Abou Alam, Dies, AYLN, Honeydrip and more.

Born In Flamez double single ‘Play’ presents a ferocious claim for dissent bodies in the form of two relentlessly queer anthems. Known for their experimental and enigmatic approach on identity expression, with ‘Play’, Born In Flamez delivers an uncompromisingly sensual revision of a crunk classic and a banging collaboration with the cross-border performance artist Muxxxe.

Originally conceived as the soundtrack for a multidisciplinary performance involving physical expression, censorship, transformation and plastic waste, ‘This is what my body says’ depicts a call for body liberation upon the decline of the world, the collaboration with the masked artist from Tijuana ‘Muxxxe’ bounds together a feeling of distinctive tenacity that comes along with queer emancipation.

With xenomorphic atmospheres, heavy mechanic percussions and alienish echoes the EP constrains the most redemptive side of Born In Flamez in the form of two unapologetic and futuristic rap pieces.
