"This EP is the result of years of identity research.

After more than 10 years of electronic music, I succeeded in this second EP to gather all the musical currents which inspired me and made vibrate all my life. My artistic approach is to create a fusion between the different musical genres that influence me, and especially, to give each of my tracks, a real identity. Percussion with Tribal sounds, a heaviness that we recognize Bass Music, rhythms shifted and dancing, this is what qualifies Leese.

This mixture is tasty, between the emotional, and the technical, I want at all costs to build original structures, varied and innovative, while traveling through all these currents, in the desire to make the listener feel.

I like this round aspect of this EP. Everything ties together, and is carefully handled. I don't know exactly what I'm trying to bring together, but I feel when I'm going in the right direction or not, each time I produce. It's a heavy and sub urge that takes to the trips, with these percussions that recall our primal instincts and speak directly to our body. The human reconnection that allows the addition of oriental voices, accompanied by melodic layers (with partimony).

I hope to touch the originality, I hope to create the astonishment, the surprise. The moment of creation can sometimes be very introspective, I do not count any more the hours or I tore off the hair of my head, to try to find my personal touch and what will make me vibrate myself in this process. The end result is self recognition. I am very happy to be able to present you this EP, as well as to deliver you a part of me."

Our protégé Entrañas, one of Ecuador's up-and-coming artists, returns home with his first solo EP. ‘Yapa’ is an exploration of the frontiers of global club music, blending unique Latin American rhythms and flavours with classic electronic music sounds. Drawing from Ecuador’s rich cultural heritage, these three tracks provide the closest approximation to what we might call Latin Bass.

The remixes add a sharp and multifaceted energy that will resonate both in and out of the club. First, upsammy delivers her purest version in the territory (80 — 90 bpm) that has established her as one of the finest DJs and producers of the moment. Additionally, we decided to feature two of our favourite techno acts of the moment, Fireground and 1morning, who deliver exhilarating, hard-groove reminiscent breakneck reinterpretations of good late 90s — early 2000s iconic sound.

Montpellier-based artist Gipsyan (@gipsytrax), known for releases on XXIII, Nehza, TraTraTrax, and JEROME, to name a few, joins RUTA’s free download series with “La Discoteca”—a track that toggles between broken rhythms and four-to-the-floor propulsion with effortless flair. Saturated bass and razor-sharp percussion shape a sound that’s chaotic in all the right ways: a peak-time weapon built for dancefloors that thrive on unpredictability.

It’s the second installment in RUTA’s 2025 free download series, and a release that extends Gipsyan’s prolific presence in the ongoing conversation between UK bass and all things percussive.

Le hicimos algunas pregunticas sobre él, nosotrxs, y el set que nos va a mostrar, aquí las respuestas:

- Cuéntanos, ¿quién eres, y cuál es tu experiencia como artista?
Mi nombre es Daniel, alias Technoperreo, y tengo ya 4 años de experiencia como DJ y organizador de eventos. Tengo varios alias, pero con este en particular me enfoco en música electrónica con ritmos latinos, abarcando géneros como el “latin club”, techno, guaracha, electro, bass, y muchas amalgamas entre estos. He tenido la oportunidad de compartir decks con artistas importantes en mi línea musical, tales como Verraco, Funk Tribu, Sophyaa, CRRDR, 2AT y Brenda.

- Como miembro de nuestro colectivo, ¿qué expectativas tienes sobre nosotros?
Estoy bastante emocionado, tenemos muchas ideas y posibles invitados. Inicialmente queremos enfocarnos en la radio, utilizándola para mostrar artistas y sonidos que nos gusten, para posteriormente traerlos de visita a la ciudad a tocar en vivo. La idea es traer una línea musical diferente a lo que vemos localmente. Abarcaremos todo tipo de géneros, pero nos enfocaremos principalmente en música electrónica latinoamericana.

- ¿Qué artistas te han inspirado últimamente?
Diría que los artistas que más me inspiran son Brenda, Entrañas y Ben UFO. Brenda y Entrañas como productores me parece que lograron encontrar su propio sonido después de experimentar mucho, y están ahora en el mejor momento de sus carreras, sacando música muy bien hecha y digna de representar Latinoamérica ante el mundo. Brenda y Ben como DJs, me parece que tienen un sistema muy elaborado en su forma de seleccionar, que les permite tener muchísima variedad musical manteniendo la coherencia en sus sets. En especial Ben, pero poco hay que hablar de ese señor, fácilmente es el mejor selector musical en la electrónica actual.

- ¿Cómo describirías el set que nos vas a presentar?
Este set fue especial, fue grabado en vivo en Municipal Música Viva en Bucaramanga. Fue un evento organizado por el colectivo Soloculto, en donde tuve la oportunidad de tocar dos sets en una noche. Este es el primer set, tocado a las 10PM. Es un set de warm-up, que va lentamente calentando la energía de la pista. Breaks, latin club, techno y bass, escalando progresivamente hasta llegar a un climax. Es el primer set de nuestro colectivo, así que me esforcé por que fuera digno, ¡espero les guste!

Disfrútenlo y prepárense, porque este será el primero de muchos más.

Erre is more than a showcase of tracks, it signals a maturation moment for RUTA, a label of Colombian origin operating from Germany, as it shapes its position within a more global, post-local club continuum. By drawing together both long-time collaborators and newer voices connected by a shared musical language, Erre builds not just a compilation, but an evolving platform for shared expression.
