Rien Qui M'arrête (Ben Biron Dub Version)

2024 saw German producer Tom Breu pay homage to the White Island with his re-working of a Chris Rhea's Balearic classic 'On The Beach'. Breu's club-ready version breathed a fresh, balmy air into the original whilst also allowing its identity to remain intact; his subtle vocals adding a respectful twist to the iconic melody.

Now, much to Breu's delight - True Romance welcome in venerated legend Rodriguez Jr. for his own reimagining of this classic; a challenge that the F-Communications, Crosstown Rebels and Poker Flat affiliate tackles with aplomb.

His take is as serene and crystalline as the Med as it gently unfolds behind kinetic stabs and rich, stirring piano chords. The drums are precise but delicate, providing a steady ballast while the energy gradually courses onwards and upwards.

Eventually the track's hook blooms, at which point synth lines and vocals weave together in a beautiful tapestry - one that in Breu's words 'captures the essence of iconic beach destinations like Ibiza, Mykonos or Tulum - perfect for hot summer nights and warm winter escapes'.
