The 3rd part is a metamorphosis of the Gregorian chant motive first heard in the 1st part of the piece. Throughout variations, the theme purifies itself from anger and sorrow. Finally, performed in bell-like fashion, the motive appears clear and bright once more. In the 2nd part of sonata, different colors of tension & introverted pain are discovered. It is an endless seeking for a redeeming light.

In the work ten from the forty five haiku have been chronologically selected and composed into five main parts, with two short, almost instrumental, passages between the first and last parts. There can thus be two haiku in one and the same part. Instrumental and vocal parts constantly go in and out of each other throughout the piece.

Vitališka idėjos dvasia... Dvejonės užkalbėjimas ją įvelia į užburtą sabotažo ratą. Lyginti, neįtikti, skandintis bandymuose; tik tada nustoti trankyti galvą į siena, kai imsi justi kaktà maloniai tekančią šilumos giją... Tarnystė peilio ašmens tiesumui, sielos knežinimas tobulumu... 

Ir visgi kūnas visad sustoja, kai nebepajėgia. Belieka enharmoniškai pervadinti tai, kas Tiesumo šventykloje pakrikštyta Kreive... Virštonių nušvitimas – neišvengiamas.

This piece is a soundscape inspired by parasitic tendencies in a creative process.

The vital spirit of an idea... The incantation of hesitation leads to a vicious cycle of sabotage. To compare, to fall, to be drowned by endless ‘new versions’… It’s when you stop to bang your head to the wall only when you feel a somewhat pleasant flow of something warm from your forehead. It’s a non-stopping rite for the straightness of the knife blade. 

And yet the body always stops when it‘s time to do so. At that moment, the only thing you can do is to enharmonically rename all that was baptised as a Curve in the Temple of Straightness... An inevitable illumination of the unequal-tempered overtones.
