Nicola Loporchio, known as Nico Lahs, began producing house music in 2009 with releases like the 'Clouded Visions' EP on Josh Wink's 'Ovum Recordings'. His success led to DJ sets at top clubs worldwide, such as Cable, Club der Visionaere, and Tresor. He also launched the Cosmic Garden project and label, Cosmic Rhythm, focusing on house and disco.
In 2020, Nico released his debut album 'Freedom' on Adeen Records and three well-received EPs, including one on Jimpster's 'Delusions of Grandeur'. In 2022, he produced remixes for Alton Miller and released tracks on several notable labels, including Local Talk and Moods and Grooves.
With his high quality remixes, cosmic alias, and impressive club cuts on a host of stellar labels, Nico Lahs is proving himself to be an innovative force in the Italian house landscape.

«A Sunday afternoon at home dusting off old records, some stored in the depths of my memory and forgotten. It feels incredibile every time to rediscover, listen again and make that memory that seemed to have faded still alive. The idea of mixing it all together with some of my own production always makes me happy.
This mix aims to bring the listeners to immerse theirselves in a sound that touches the soul but certainly doesn't neglect the body.»

Paris based @aleqsnotal strikes right in the middle with some killer cuts straight from his shelves!

DJ and producer, Aleqs has shaped the underground music scene since the early 2000s with a sound influenced by Detroit and Chicago. Known for soulful House and deep Techno rhythms, he gained prominence through DJ scratching competitions and international label compositions. In 2020, he launched I.L Recordings. His career highlights include releases on ClekClekBoom Recordings, Finale Sessions, and the acclaimed “Ascending Nodes” on Sistrum Recordings in 2017. Aleqs has performed alongside icons like Larry Heard and Moodymann in top venues like Fabric and Tresor, consistently pushing boundaries with his deep, raw sounds.

As far as duo's go Ben Lewis & Josh Ludlow are a force to be reckoned with. With their party and label Make A Dance along with its also much beloved subsidiary imprint M.A.D Edits, the two have given a much needed outlet to the scene in London as well as further afield. With their party driven sound meeting ties with deep house as well as disco, italo and more they have proven to both deem a quality selection that can bring any party to its knees. And for the 122nd Phonica mix they do exactly that; a pure scope of energy mixed with quality deep anthems and a hint of acid to top it off. We had a quick chat with Ben and Josh about the mix and what they got going in the works.
