"Superman's Dead" is the second single off Jus Daze's upcoming album, "Walk Twice As Hard."* (Scheduled for release in 2013.)

"Superman's Dead" is a story of betrayal, heartbreak, lies, trust, and personal strife, where the "World's Strongest Superhero" meets his downfall and demise. "Superman's Dead" is unique, because rather than rap straight-forward to deliver the message, Jus Daze conveys the story's theme  through the use of symbols, metaphors, and imagery which he narrates using a dream sequence.

In "Superman's Dead, " Daze addresses the interests of long-standing listeners, while inviting a new audience to enjoy the diversity and lyricism throughout the song. Both die-hard and brand new fans alike will wonder how much of this "dream" of "Superman" parallels Daze's real life.

Speaking of parallels, the track's musical production is as equally fitting, fusing dramatic guitar riffs with a classic hip-hop break beat over a haunting string ensemble. Each verse ends climatically by going into Rod Stewart's "Broken Dream" to accompany one of the song's themes.

What each listener takes away from this, along with each song from "Walk Twice As Hard," will be different.  But all will have one thing in common: the symbols Daze poetically weaves throughout his art will give his audience a grasp to better understand Jus Daze, while also relating them to their personal trials and tribulations.

By definition, every "hero" has some sort of a downfall, an "Achilles heel" per se, but Daze's message tells us if we 'Walk Twice As Hard,' we'll be able to overcome them and succeed....  Jus Daze is proving he can and is.

Superman's Dead

Born in Brooklyn & calling Queens home, Daze emerged on the scene like many, with scars both visible and not, yet unlike most, has transcended his struggles into a force of an expressive nature that instills hope & earns him respect. 

Most notably, Daze, aka “The Bowlegged Bandit” is physically disabled & severely bowlegged to the point of having to once use two Lofstrand crutches as a kid & at his heaviest, weighing a devastating 500 lbs. He's a "walking" example of what strong will power, an unbreakable spirit, & hard work will accomplish!  

If you mistake his humor for softness, you obviously haven’t seen him in the ring battle rapping! His down to earth nature is set aside & in beast-mode, this prolific battler unleashes his hell of a life of struggle through poignant rhymes & heated delivery unparalleled. His intimidating size & presence is a constant reminder of his drive & passion for not only survival, but for living.  

To call Daze a “performer” would be a compliment to the word. He's a fusion of everything intense & raw combined with a rugged charm & fierce coolness. In one line, he can warn you not to mess around with him & in the next, he’ll show you why you can’t. 

Daze has won competitions on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Anthony Anderson's Mixtape Comedy Show, Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival, King of the Dot, GrindTimeNow, EOW, & has been featured in The Source Magazine, AllHipHop.com, Vibe, VladTV, Boi1da, DJ Booth, KevinNottingham & more. He has an extensive writing background and has worked with numerous high-profile businesses and celebrity clients performing at private parties, commercial events and creating powerful marketing and advertising campaigns.  

Daze's disability should have made him steer far from Battle Rap, but instead, he "jumped" into the scene & managed to make a name off it, winning not based off commodity, but off legit rhyme & reason! 

Daze can’t be summed or described in one word. He is a rare breed in Hip Hop today, one that puts his true self in every line, every beat, & every adlib of every song.
