I first listened to “Nowhere to Go” when it was released as a single, and then when the album came out I became obsessed with the vibe of each track. I was ecstatic to see the competition posted on Splice and be given the opportunity to attempt my own remix of the song. To begin, Natt Dunn has a beautiful voice that instantly caught my ear when I first listened to the song. However, I wanted to take the remix in a different direction by pitching her vocals down, giving a new tone and vibe for the track. The two major focal points in the song are the unique drops at each chorus and the half timed breakdown consisted of an emotional swell of synths and large drums. I hope you appreciate my take on “Nowhere to Go”.

Here is my newest remix of the song "Sleeping With Roses" by Chelsea Cutler. I was so fortunate to find an acapella for the song by Danni Carra. She had such an amazing voice and caught the raw emotion of the original song that I was inspired to make the remix. The song has an emotional, hopeful feel through the vocals and builds to a bouncy, feel good drop comprised of three sections distinguished by their melody. Birds Nest

After hearing the song and Katrina Cain's smooth vocals, I became eager to see how I could take the elements of her song and her vision and make it my own. I spent three weeks creating and fine tuning everything I wanted to go into the remix until I had my final product. In my project, the first thing I did was pitch the vocals up to create a blank canvas with a new feeling and starting point. I then created an ambient, glitchy and vocal heavy introduction, a chill and vibey verse, a full and spacious pre-chorus and an experimental drum heavy chorus to support it. I hope whoever listens to my remix that you enjoy

I have been listening to a lot of Moses Sumney lately. He is an amazing artist and I wanted to sample one of his songs "Quarrel". This beat turned out to be two sided with a bouncy chorus and then a laidback verse.
