Aged Acid EP. The name speaks for itself. Like a well aged wine, DFD aka Troy Anderson shows how to make acid sound smooth and superior. This EP contains 4 deep atmospheric grooves, each with its own unique style and love for detail.
Troy has been releasing electronic music under aliases like Waverider and Cityboy since the 90s. The air is laden with a strange stillness, a nearly faceless monolith folded inward. Polished silkenly and marbled by tireless winds. The faintest of whispers, carried through the ages - a fierce gale, leaving only the bones of walls and pebbles, ceased to exist.

BODYXVIII is a Melburnian musician and audio collagist, immersing into blend drones and textures, enfolding darkened soundscapes, droning dynamism & subdued emphasis, harmonizing the density of throbbing hum and submerging soundwaves - coalescing with the vast.

In my activity, I create works by combining different kinds of sounds. Multiple layers and changing scenes make complexity and stories. I like to create a continuous dynamic story and a stream of consciousness in my work.
This time also I mixed pieces of various styles, such as field recordings, sound collages, electroacoustic sounds, and improvisations. And some of them are taken from the catalog of my own label "zappak".

私は自身の活動のなかで、異なるものを組み合わせて作品を制作しています。複数のレイヤーやシーンの転換は、複雑さやストーリーを生み出します。作品のなかにひとつづきの動的なストーリーを組み立てること、意識などの流れを生み出すことを私は好みます。
ここでも同様に、異なるスタイルのピースを混ぜ合わせてミックスを作成しました。フィールド・レコーディング、サウンド・コラージュ、電子音響、即興演奏などのピースが用いられており、自身のレーベル"zappak"からの作品も含まれています。

Leo Okagawa is a sound artist based in Tokyo, Japan. He started recording environmental sounds in 2014, and around that time he started making multilayered collage works from elements of recorded sounds, analog machine’s noise, and simple electric tones. His works were released from the labels in many countries.
He has also been working on an improvised performance since 2017. Using some electronic devices, he explores the structural possibilities of sound through the combination of simple tones.
In 2022, he started his own record label, “zappak”, and has been publishing music by other artists on CD. In addition, as one of the label’s activities, he also organizes live performances for other artists.

東京を拠点とするサウンド・アーティスト。2014年よりフィールド・レコーディングをはじめ、ほぼ同時期より、録音した素材やアナログ機器のノイズ、シンプルな電子トーンによる多層的なコラージュ作品の制作を開始する。これまでに国内外さまざまなレーベルより作品が発表されている。
2017年からは即興によるパフォーマンスもおこなう。いくつかの電子機器類を使用し、シンプルなトーンの組み合わせによる構造的な可能性を模索する。
2022年には自身によるレーベル「zappak」の運営を開始し、本人以外のアーティストによる作品をCDで発表している。レーベルの活動の一環として、他の演奏家によるイベントの企画もおこなっている。
