I killed the pharaoh 
You killed the king 
We’re at the same place in time
But we have an all together different meaning 
The space is clear
The dimensions are fleeting 
Their wives are lonely 
when can we dismiss this meeting 

The two assassins never met
But crept about the synchronistic wave
Like shadows covered in night 
The plebeians thought they were brave
But the scholars thought they were right

In the void of tangible power
They thought they could hear it all
But their reality was relative
It was their duty 
It was their call

Stamped hooves beating
Recorded sound non existent
The heated beeping deceiving 
The heaving thoroughbreds 
Of the imagination
Stampeding
Yet, they were never
They were never competing 

She screamed and wailed
The options racing the mind well
What incandescent hell
Have we traced destined lineage to fail?

Whatever it was, rang true
Created a midnight blue hue
To confuse and compel
The empty minds at rest that dwell
Inside their own jail
In a basement in Missouri 

Ah, Hurry hurry it’s on sale
And the inventory is running low
They’ve confiscated your mind
But your pocket is yours though

I’m not sure I’m not sure
That’s really fair

When do we ride

Time is an opus
But it ends at the score 
There’s too much to do
And they’re always asking for more 
So I took one final job
So I could retire before 
The moon hit the clouds
And the sun burns for nevermore 

I set off in the magic hour
But the sandstorm’s day had just begun
Trying to put me to bed 
But all I wanted was fun 
The motivating factors shifted
The visual acumen had drifted
The peaches rotted and the (redacted) got (redacted)
Why’d she cry?
Then the midst was misting 

I woke up at what appeared to be a new day
But when you don’t sleep who’s really to say?
I’d poisoned myself so doing to another
Was just another act of good will from his brother
I’d set the palace a blaze and make sure the emperor fell 
His manifesto on taxes and god 
Stood at the mountain top of all that is wrong
Thrice, I visited in the apothecary
Only to remember I had never bought that which you should never carry 
I returned to the force for more
Then realized I had already drunken the cure
I fed my bled to a tube through a vein
What is now sitting in a vile 
It is his destiny, it is his one way trane 

Meet me in the middle
I’m a man on a hill
If the wind blows any harder
There’s no telling where I’ll spill
My guts out on the floor
For those who dream of glory
Where they?what?and who you fighting for?

John - Eternal Light of the Word

The first vocal track of Mъdrъ / Mudru draft album.  A mix of playing an instrumental before writing the lyrics (which is a departure although has been done a little recently), and also later my older style of writing chord-per-syllable to already-written lyrics toward the end of the piece.

Overall I write pretty naive lyrical pieces.  This guy is kind of a paranoid douche but with the best intentions.  She's like absconding off to (heaven forfend) a different little splinter group than his thing but it turns out to be benign and he inflicts some minor annoying damage by sneaking into their outing.

Lyrics:

Somewhere in the past someone set us up the bomb
Culture shifted so fast that 30 Rock is now a right wing sitcom

Somewhere in Ulster's bowels
Were heard the pangs of an alarm
A girl's heterofatalism was giving her an ulcer
The ginger with a minge
Had had enough of Hinge
Since the latest respondent's saccharine charm 
Was rather laid on with a trowel
The states seemed the right place to flee
And that's how she hooked up with me

How have I hated instruction, 
And my heart despised reproof 
It was the nagging ineluctable
Erosion of fitness under our roof
And what came of it was standing aloof
As i witnessed its destruction

After being the fall guy i was focusing on
Survival in the strange waters that i was swimming
Much like tall guys have no idea 
That they are at war with short guys
Normal women have no idea they are at war with crazy women

I saw our coming doom 
Through the bloodshot glass 
At the bottom of a marinara jar
The girls had started having breadsticks parties
And a lot of gossip got said
And pretty soon our burgeoning movement
Was given up for dead
But one can take theorizing too far
Particularly if you're too well-read

And so at the risk of assaulting my intestines
I engaged in a clandestine infiltration
And the leader of her congregation
Served a sumptuously appetizing oration
On the fiscal dangers of being an oversnacker
At the end of the presentation
One presumptuously testy cracker
Pointed out that one of the high watermarks 
Of our civilization
Is the Domino's pizza tracker

You can imagine their reaction
When I said the most frugal drug
Was constant distraction
In sunshine or rain
It lessens the pain
Of trudging dissatisfaction

We got to a really dark place
And the tipping point began
Around when i was being really crass
And implied that the high priestess was an also-ran
She was really about to kick my ass
I think it was the rage of Caliban
Not seeing her own face in a glass

After several mint juleps
She went and staggered amongst the tulips
magniloquent miss molly
Chided me on my vindictive folly
She asked what are you stupid
What's the point of all this skullduggery for me

Well I am genuinely attracted to you
Having walked too close by Cupid
And that is a pretty stupid thing to be

Just another day in the life of a humble dictator.
He's down on his luck because he's lost his adherents, then goes on a date, then goes to a party where his traitors absconded to and passes out.
(Maybe the new guy found out how fickle the monkeys were identically....)

We were discussing the means with regards to the ends

Billionaire techno-wizard freaks are not your friends
Neither are the normies
But the normies aren't giving masterclasses on the Antichrist

And while she was in Gravesend
Getting a purge of her follicles
She didn't mean to mock
But Disturbing naturally formed alluviums 
Is Almost as diabolical
As someone kicking your xeriscaping rocks
All over the sidewalk

After taking a breath
Life's daily demands 
Are just now not the same
Remember the early two thousands
When beating demons to death
With your bare hands
Was still a fictional video game

She'd had enough talk of killing
After flicking a piece of ash
She was such a vicious kidder
And then i really had going
A throbbing of my brain
Plus that feeling when
You need cash so bad
You're willing to be the lowest bidder
In an adversary supply chain

Water isn't clear 
But it seems clear because it filtered
What it wasn't clear to 
Which you then didn't evolve to see
What wasn't clear about her
Was that she doesn't kilter
To what would appear to be
What i was involved in
Enough to unequivocally agree

I then went to someone else’s circus 
And all of my fucking monkeys were there
Playing a diabolical form
Of political musical chairs

I'd had far too much of our host's brew
And dozed off as he prattled his parvenu 
Far on into the night
And coming to
I found it hard to believe
The change in his face
With the advent of dawn
His espirit de corps, 
His joie de vivre, 
His coup de grace, 
His deja vu
Were all categorically gone
