Originally from Danish the small town Aarhus but now firmly based in the capital, Johannes
Astrup has become an integral part of Copenhagen’s thriving club scene and close-knit
electronic community. As co-owner and resident DJ at Den Anden Side, a cutting-edge
nightclub, Johannes plays a vital role in crafting an inclusive haven for music enthusiasts
and the vibrant queer club scene.

His music journey has already reached the global techno stage. Johannes boasts releases
on prestigious labels such as Mord Records, with an EP soon to drop on Berlin-based
Drawner Records. His distinctive style, characterized by fast and groovy techno with rich
layers of rhythm and percussion, incorporates elements of hardgroove alongside soulful and
salsa-infused vibes.

Though it's only been a few years since he first stepped into the DJ booth, Johannes has
transported his sounds across borders, moving dance floors in Germany, Lithuania, Poland,
England, Georgia, Sweden, and Norway. With each beat, he fearlessly pushes the
boundaries, making him a name to watch as he continues to explore new frontiers within the
ever-evolving techno landscape
