We are Blank and the So & So's, and if you're reading this, you're about to hear our very first official musical release. We've come together and worked hard in recent months to form this musical collaboration for you all, and with you all. Blank and the So & So's is Shelly Grine (ShellaM00N) and Rey Ochoa (Sarcastik) on vocals, and Nick Elliott (Purple Matter) on guitar/production, but every time we play together, you can expect to see different and unexpected faces. Music has been the force giving us life, bringing us together, and keeping us alive and through our music we want to bring together everyone that feels the same.

This song is partially a metaphor for the foundation of our band, and partially a depiction of our journey to find our voices together as musicians. As we move forward both together and on our own paths, we blossom into new people, and venture forward into the universe.

Blank and the So & So's exists to cross lines between all genres of music. Not only does it do so musically, but we strive to break down boundaries between people themselves by fusing genres. Every one of our members brings a completely different set of influences, and for each of us, music is everything. By combining everything that drives and inspires us, we strive to unite all who hear our music. This song describes the way that people pass in and out of our lives until the ones we truly connect with remain, something we all have plenty of experience with.

Everywhere you go, you carry the weight of every life experience you've been through... and although they might be the most valuable and important, it doesn't take long for that shit to get heavy. Even if we're forced to carry them everywhere, they still make us who we are, and shine on us.

We weren't going to drop this song yet... but we caught the inspiration tonight and had to release it. We saw the Seattle band Nauticult and they melted our faces off, they fuse punk, hip-hop and psychedelic, and they rock out like nobody we've ever seen. 

Just Blank Out is our anthem... about the feeling you get when you play music, the feeling you get when you experience music, the feeling you get when you escape everything about the world holding you down and keeping you from being free.
