Justice Madeya-Chikondi Cheni Cheni (hold yuh Riddim)

Justice Madeya is a Reggae/Dancehall artist known for his unique and captivating sounds that blend Traditional elements with a new school vibe. With the passion for music and the flexibility to experiment with different musical styles, he has gained recognition for his distinctive traditional Malawi sound fussed with a Reggae/dancehall feel. 

Born in Malawi, Mulanje to the late George and Comfort Madeya, Justice discovered his love for music at an early age listening to Katawa singers choir in Mzuzu, Katoto. He was influenced by the likes of Sizzla kalonje after purchasing the Black History album  with which he began honing his skills, laying the foundation for a remarkable reggae/dancehall journey.

Justice Madeya's artistic journey has been  unfolded through significant experiences from his early life in Malawi and continued life in the United Kingdom where he currently resides. He embarked on a path of exploration, experimenting with various mediums and techniques by making tracks with different artists from Zimbabwe, Jamaica and the Uk. 

These explorations and period of discovery shaped his artistic identity and contributed to the evolution of his distinctive approach to the fusion of Reggae/Dancehall with traditional Malawi vibe to create a contemporary feel with a simple but educational and meaningful expression and presentation of his art. 

Justice Madeya's work is characterised and heavily influenced by traditional melodies which symbolize his upbringing in Chileka Blantyre and some sweet melodies which always keeps you captivated to the massage at large. The interplay of beats he choose and the lyrics creates a dynamic and visually arresting experience for the listeners. He often draw inspiration from nature and surrounding activities, infusing his pieces with depth and meaning.

Throughout his musical journey, Justice Madeya has gained recognition and accolades for notable achievements. He has recorded plenty of songs as he is also a producer, songwriter and a recording artist.  Justice Madeya's carrier has exhibited his art in prestigious galleries, including but not limited to performances at Malawi archievers awards three times which  took place in Leicester and Birmingham United Kingdom.

In 2024, Justice Madeya continues to push boundaries and explore new artistic horizons. He is planning on working with more Malawian artists and promising exciting developments for his supporters and the art community at large.

Justice Madeya stands as a testament to the power of artistic expression. His ability to convey emotions with his messages through his art has left an indelible mark on the art world. As he continue to evolve,  Justice Madeya remains a captivating force in the realm of Malawi music, Reggae/Dancehall with a traditional music blend.  He has recently featured on the ‘’Zam’moyowu’’ track with the legendary Dangoman Kadango. Justice is currently working on an ulbum produced by Pon G at Weapons Of Peace RECORDS.
