This high energy cover of Slender Bodies Belong kicks off the Hello Yes project. Hello Yes connected with Slender Bodies while working with Emotional Oranges and the inspiration for a cover rolled in. This cover embodies the energy of Hello Yes, and is a preview into the sound listeners can expect from their debut EP coming out in 2022.

Hello Yes, the duo consisting of guitarist Mitch Bell and saxophonist Aaron Leibowitz, was born during off time on the road with electronic artist Zhu who they continue to perform and collaborate with. The sound is novel, conjuring Mitch’s smokey, yet sophisticated guitar and Aaron’s gut jerking saxophone into compositions that could be described as indie groove meets electro club. The wave of first releases draws lyrically from true relationship struggles while exploring a sonic palette that blends modern electronic sounds with classic song writing. The two have toured the past 4 years frequenting main stages at EDC, Life is Beautiful, Electric Forest, Lightning a Bottle, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, ACL and many others. They can also be heard as collaborators on releases from Emotional Oranges, THEY., Jason Mraz, and Tame Impala. In a modern day fashion, the duo writes, produces, and performs all of their own music.

He traipsed around the empty streets of the dilapidated town, cutting a lonely, somewhat ghostly figure. He sighed, his shoulders heavy. Everyone he knew had gone. Moved on to pastures new. He missed them dearly. Missed the laughter, the fun.

Wandering up one of the side streets, he realised he'd stumbled into unfamiliar territory. "How odd," he muttered to himself, curiously. "I've never been up here before." As he meandered further up the cobbled street his ears pricked up. A beat carried on breeze and down towards him. Where was it coming from? He followed it, like a hound follows a scent, until he caught it. He stopped outside what appeared to be an old tavern, nervously and cautiously he pushed the door ajar. Joyous laughter and music filled the room. He stood staring in awe and began to cry tears of happiness. 

Bioroots Drift EP is the inaugural release on Enclave Records, a label whose ethos is to deliver house, disco and techno without all the gimmicks. They aim to be "solace from the meaningless, the throwaway, the empty."
