On this month’s installment FUTURE FREQUENCIES, Maddy Maia is joined by rising producer Nala.
Just announced as one of the select few Beatport Next 2024 artists, Nala has had an incredible surge of momentum with her viral “Me Me Me” release and co-signs from the biggest names in dance music including Solomun, who recently had her on his Diynamic Art Basel party lineup. She is quickly gaining notoriety as a tastemaker with her Riot Grrrl meets dance floor creative approach, which was sparked by the launch of her own Mi Domina label imprint.

What's up Desert Hearts Family,

I'm so excited to release my set from Desert Hearts Festival 2024. This fest marked the 12th year of Desert Hearts and the dawn of a new era at our home in Flagstaff, AZ. It's been a rocky and uncertain 5 years for us since losing our venue during the pandemic, but DHF 2024 was the great reset button as we threw, in my opinion, the best and most special festival we've ever thrown. The vibe and the magic were untouchable. I might be biased, but I've always said I'd put Desert Hearts Fest up against any party in the world, and for four days, I believe we achieved that. What's scary to think about is how much better next year is going to be now that we've got our bearings under us at the new venue...

Mary is Desert Hearts Family through and through. She used to run our social media marketing back in the day while simultaneously attending music production school. Now she's blowing tf up and there's no one prouder than us. Her set at Desert Hearts fused house and dubby bass, and it was such a vibe. We hope you love this set as much as we love Mary.
