Claude VonStroke, dirtybird’s benevolent label master, presents "Dood", the second single from his upcoming album, ‘Urban Animal’, which will be released September 24.

"Dood" is inherently dirtybird and the one you've been waiting for if you were expecting something nasty from ‘Urban Animal’.  The heart-squeezing booty-bass-line smacks instantly, while the rumbling drawl of the stoned vocal perfectly encapsulates VonStroke’s witty spirit. 

"Dood" is idiosyncratic, eccentric, unpredictable and imaginative, it’s a seriously fun trip aimed squarely at the heart of the dancefloor, and this track has been a peak time hit for VonStroke and the entire dirtybird crew this summer. 

"Urban Animal’ embodies the singular sound that Claude VonStroke and his dirtybird crew have perfected over the last nine years. A collaboration with the boss Claude VonStroke was something Lubelski knew he had to do around the 'Happy Accidents' project, he just had no idea what direction it might take.   'Ice Cream Cone' is a smooth and sultry answer to that question that feels equal parts Lubelski complexity and VonStroke simplicity, taken to a whole new level by breakthrough vocalist Life on Planets.  It's the kind of track you aren't sure you want your mom to hear you listening to, primed and ready for dance floor romancing with an ear turned towards both clubland's past and future.

I’m always trying to find some big new records at the end of the year so I can go play something fresh, so I’d like to present the DIRTYBRD New Years Special. 

Here are seven new bangers for your holiday DJ sets. The tracks are all new & most of them are by new talents on the label. Fresh faces include veteran German producer David Keno, an all new act called Jaded, Sirus Hood from Paris, My Cat Snoop, Mikey V, Wood Holly & Sage Armstrong.  Of course we have a few guys who have been on the label before, Ardalan, Genghis Clan, and Nick Olivetti.
