I just had to re-do this cover after hearing the old version! I will leave the previous on here so you can hear the difference between the two.
I really enjoyed re-mixing this song and it has shown to me how much progress i have made in the last 8 months with mixing and production.....obviously still a lot to learn but really pleased with what i've learnt so far!

Hi all,

I wanted to share this with you...

I've been working on something a bit different than what i usually do and here it is...an idea for a cinematic/television track or score, theme etc whatever you want to call it.

Lots of layers and interesting melodic movements. My intention was to create something that was really in your face, yet melodic and memorable.I had a lot of fun making this one and i hope you enjoy it as much as i did creating it!

I would love to hear any feedback you have and as always, i appreciate every single listen and comment you guys give!

This is a short riff i threw together to demonstrate these amazing new impulse responses from Kevin at Ownhammer. 

They all sound incredible but the one that i chose to use for this demo was the Chinese V30 8ohm speaker.

For those that have no interest in the techincal side of the sound please just enjoy the riffs because i had fun jamming on them!

Walking In The Air - Epic Christmas Cover

Hey all,

I decided to record a cover of the final part of music 'Final Frontier' from the album Sun by a great composer named Thomas Bergersen. This piece was actually used in the trailer for the movie Interstellar where most of you will probably recognise it. 

I absolutely love this composition so i thought i would arrange it from scratch with all my own drums, guitar, bass, piano, strings and brass.

I put together this full band cover using the axefx for guitar and bass and toontrack drums played with my own fingers. I found an isolated vocal stem to use for the recording, it's not perfect but it works!

This is actually a cover of a cover. This arrangement was created by Tim Hewitt...he did a great job with this cover, so i asked his permission if i could use his version and record my own cover.

Big thanks to Tim for letting me use his arrangement!

Not a huge fan of pop music, but with this arrangement i think it changes the entire feel of the song and gives it a new lease of life!

Here is my next cover of Hans Zimmer's arrangement for Inception, 'Time'.

A truly inspirational piece of music with it's simple melody and evolving dynamic!

I didn't want to interfere with it too much so a lot of the song was created using the same instruments however, you will hear for yourselves what i decided to do at the end for the ultimate climax.

Monsters Inc Theme Cover

Hi,

It's been a while since i've uploaded anything so i thought i'd do something special.

A day before the film is released, i thought i would share this cover of 'An Ideal of Hope' with you all. I believe on the official soundtrack release it is actually called 'What are you going to do when you are not saving the world?'

As with the Inception 'Time' cover, i didn't want to mess around with the arrangement very much and i wanted to keep the dynamics close to the original, particularly for the final impact! 

All the audio here is recorded by me and the rest was programmed with sample libraries. 

I really hope you enjoy this cover and the film when it is released!
