Sub Machine Gun

I've always been a writer as far back as I can remember. I liked making journals about my life, I wrote stories and poems. I cant remember when I first played guitar, but it was in in January 2000 I saw 'Back to the future 2' and wanted to play Johnny B. Good so bad, so I started learning on my brother's acoustic he'd just got for christmas. It became natural to turn all of my work into songs. When I turned 16 nearly two years later I got my first electric and taught myself punk, alternative and melodic covers and started taking singing more seriously. I joined a few bands in Virginia, and eventually moved to Georgia and honed my art with a few more bands. Cash Tuesday was my first long lasting band, Full-time member Jason Lee the Great and we played all around north Atlanta area wherever we could. We made/sold a few demos, promoted our shows and got a great following. We even won Cass Highs 'Battle of the Bands'. I enjoy performing for an audience at shows, I like when people feel as excited about music as I am. Nothing says camaraderie like a roomful of people singing together. After Cash Tuesday, I started working on my softer songs, what I thought of then as my acoustic songs. I called myself and these works 'The Justin Bootz Romance'. This was inspired by a collection of songs I wrote very rapidly, about alot of different people in my life. Another band worth mentioning at this time was 'Taste for Bullets' where I put the guitar down for awhile and just sang and yelled. Chompy(of Cash Tuesday, Dragonforce, The Trend, etc..) and Lorenzo Price(who I helped teach to play guitar and he became professional, just saying) were also staples in Taste for Bullets, and each extremely talented. I ended up moving to Florida after some time, where I eventually joined a band singing, and playing bass/guitar usually, which we named 'Me as a Giant'. We created a few tunes and some demos, but currently I am working on a solo lp, and everything here I have produced/written. I usually have collections of newer and older material, let me know if there's anything you feel like singing!
