In his enlightened state, our protagonist's consciousness is cast out in all directions, through time and space. He knows the beautiful truth of the universe and is so overwhelmed that it consumes him.

Let The Vortex Consume You

Awaken:From:Oblivion

Our hero ventures into the darkness. Deeper into the cursed woods, he finds cracks in the earth, emitting a deep red light and pops of electricity. He tries to navigate around them as best as possible. His steed, Whaitere, an enchanted giant sting ray with cybernetic implants, gracefully glides above the torn ground as our hero tries to focus on the horizon. As he goes deeper into the forest, Whaitere begins to show signs of fatigue, and changes color. His body temperature rises to the point that our hero has to walk alongside the wounded giant. The voices of hell grow louder as thousands of hands ablaze outstretch from the earth at the hero and Whaitere. They try to evade their fiery grasp, but the giant is too slow and begins to scream. Our hero turns around and jumps into the inferno to protect the giant. His courage shining out of his chest in blinding yellow light. The hands liquify and melt back into the depths. The charred wanderers continue through the forest, and with a flash of lightning, the heavens unveil the darkness and a gentle rain washes over them. They set up camp near a pond in a mossy woodland. Whaitere finally rests and our hero ventures out to find help.

The Quest Will Haunt You

The wanderer, after surviving the swamp of sadness, meets a proclaimed soothsayer, who tells him of a floating city where an etherial overlord presides. The prophet shows him to the city entrance, where he is greeted warmly by the guards and locals. He begins to hear a woman's voice, calling for him. He ventures down twisted corridors and alleys of the city grid, trying to find the source, only to spring a trap. He is captured and as the thieves search his robes and find nothing, there is the sound of an engine revving, and then a laser cannon is discharged. The thieves return fire and then are scared away by a bright, pulsing light. It is the Soothsayer, the prophet who is actually the etherial overlord that rules the flying city. He says to our hero "You will not stir into darkness. You will not be ashamed. You will be renewed with courage and mindfulness. Now find your way home." Our hero's journey continues.
