This track kind of reminds me of Daniel Lanois. Shine era of his music. Very mellow, generative harmonics with congo, timpani sounds. I might still add some bass, or lower frequencies. Just learning how generative tracks work.

Generative Harmonics

Version 02 of my Generative Harmonics tune with lower frequencies/ bass which are also generative.

With the bass added to the composition, it totally changed it. I was going for a Daniel Lanois feel, and I really felt that way about it. But now the bass has completely changed. I love it.

Made with VCV Rack. It's a Free Open Source DAW that works like a Eurorack. Still in development, it's going to be released after this week I think.

Recorded and manipulated with Ardour in Linux. 
Increased Gain, and  made Envelopes on either end of the composition.

Generative Harmonics v.02

My patches usually start with drums first. I then like to use a sequencer to dial in other instruments on the beat. 

Bass synced with the bass drum, or an extra cymbal synced to a bernoulli gate that is also synced to the bass drum. 

The pads are synced however they seem fit since I like them to be a bit persuasive and intelligent with the drums, and bass together.

Floating On A Cloud

Worked on this Jazz tune for a day and a half. Completely happy how it turned out. Didn't know what else to add to it. Slightly edited in Ardour to take out some dead air, and to add some fading. No effects besides what I added in VCV Rack.
