My son lent his voice to the track. While recording, sometimes there is a bit of chaos at home. It's easy to just toss clips but I enjoy the little interruptions, as they remind me I am lucky to have a family, and like to make use of them. Of course immortalizing my child is an easy choice. 

No flute this time, just live bass and piano paired with effects. The bass was really hard to record. It was my first real effort, which left a lot of hiccups. Definitely will be trying again in the future.

Re-uploaded! Ha, it's always something with a DAW. Just a little quirk here and there. This time today's lesson is to make sure you highlight the entire arrangement and set the loop. 

Things like that are a part of why I made this song. It's easy to let life get you down and to feel defeated or overwhelmed by they path ahead. A lack of direction and confirmation can make the music you make seem pointless but it never is. Everything you create is a stepping stone.

Withered And Scorned

Slow and relaxing track I composed to keep developing my skills of air control and timing. I tried to let the headjoint do it's job and give the digital effects room to breathe.

Sometimes I focus too much on controlling the metal tube attached to my face but when you play flute it's an extension of not just your hand but how you breathe as a human being. It's quite intimate and not always so easy to produce song with the ease of breathe I am grateful to have everyday.
