This native Italian & Berlin based duo needs no introduction. Mind Against started in 2011 and barely 3 years later they are on the crown jewels of the Life and Death label after showing their incredible studio skill. In 2012 and 2013 they also composed several remixes for, amongst others, WhoMadeWho, Art Department, Róisín Murphy, Green Velvet on labels such as Kompakt, Cocoon Recordings, and Vakant.

Mind Against’ sound is very difficult to describe, but we dare to say that the mixture between house and techno appears to sound very deep, trippy and provocative. When they play it’s a sure thing that one can lose themselves in the music and travel to distant universes while dancing.

Hard to believe that another year has already passed by. Decided to mix another one of these on account of the fair amount of good music we've been blessed with this year. I've taken a different approach with this one. I'm usually very meticulous when it comes to compiling my mixes (last year's mix took me 8 months to put together) but i've decided to mix this one on the fly with no pre planned tracklist. The tracks that made it into the mix are the ones that always sounded fresh even after several listens. 2014 has been a great year of music. Our selectors have continued to push their sound forward in beautiful and real ways. In September, our resident story teller, Hisham Zahran made his US Debut performing in Brooklyn, New York. December saw his debut in Dussledorf, Germany performing at one of several special invitation only events that are held in Dussledorf and Neuss respectively. The idea is simple, carefully curated guest list, the party is paid for and empty envelopes are passed around at the end where you can donate how much you felt the experience was worth. It's not pretentious either. To sign up you visit their website and tell them why you should monkey around with everyone. Simple self expression and being who you are is enough. It's these types of progressive concepts that really innovate and aesthetically contribute to real underground nightlife culture. For this edition of the SoundPark Playground, we revisit that Saturday evening in Dussledorf where Zahran played an extended set for a packed room of music lovers. 

Words from Zahran:
"Here is a part of my 7 hour set recorded at Privatemonkey on December 13th. It was a true pleasure being invited to play at such an amazing night. I really don't know where to begin on where to complement (the hospitality, the crowd, or the sound). Initially, I had no idea I was being recorded which is sometimes a good thing. At times you might go into that mood where you play for the recording and not the actual crowd. There was nothing like having the perfect harmony of vibe and people. It was an incredible night and I'm very thankful for playing through the morning. I won't forget it. Hope you enjoy the recording!"
