The CommLink is silent, finally disconnected, the weight of the UEE is sitting heavy on my chest.
I’m the focal point for every single soul corrected, demanding diligence when I just want to rest.
They see the Emperor, meticulously presented, the symbol of stability across the void of space.
But the ledger shows the cost of being permanently contented, the crushing consequence of trying to maintain this place.
