Sometimes I think we have all felt that we would rather be left alone.

Last year we lost one of the most loyal members of our family. Miracle joined us as a puppy and grew up with us. While my family was distraught with grief, I found it hard to tell people what I was feeling. I felt that it was easier to express myself through a song.

Lament for a Miracle

Three stages of trauma recovery are Stabilization, Remembrance and Integration. Not that I've experienced some great trauma recently. This track has three clear movements and reaches the climax in the integration stage. I experimented with Modular Drum Kits and Moog's Mariana for the bass. I was really impressed with Clark Powell's -Sunrise from the battle chasers original soundtrack and that got me to thinking about using classical elements like the string sections.  

Stabilisation Remembrance Integration

I've been working on this one for a while. You're either gonna love or hate the bass. This time I added a growly bass at the end of each section to add tension. I'm hoping that the cinematic strings give it a grand field. I got the vocals from vox melodics. I've been trying to do drums in a different way in this track. I used one of the modular drum kits on logic. I tried to change the drums by adding or removing something every 16 bars to build or reduce tension. Let me know if you like it :)
