Reflecting on the song, Moore says, “Each verse was written months apart from one another. The first verse was right after a breakup and is filled with confusion and heated emotions. The second is the start of processing the emotions and beginning to accept. The third verse is all about healing. It's essentially an audio storyline about the dissolution of a relationship.”
