Born close to New York City but growing up in the midwest, Justin Ocean had virtually no examples of live deejaying or electronic club life. Relying on practice and help from God he learned the the skills it took to be a DJ, although it did come naturally. Always feeling there was something missing in modern worship, Justin began to form his vision in the early 2000’s of what worship could look like with EDM. Then in 2012 he published his own bootleg remix of a Martin Roth remix of Spring Breeze by DJ Tatana renamed "Beautiful Savior". This coupled with the beginning of his Higher Power series played a large hand in jump starting the Christian EDM movement, which has happened primarily on Youtube. Justin Ocean’s Higher Power series still remains as a hallmark of Christian EDM podcasting and a benchmark for quality EDM worship.Introducing the continual mix podcast of uplifting and worship friendly EDM tracks, Justin Ocean plays a leading role in the growth of the Christian EDM world. Many DJ’s have followed his success and with record numbers. Justin Ocean’s Higher Power series still remains as a hallmark of Christian EDM podcasting and a benchmark for quality EDM worship. His favorite styles include Trance, House, Drum n' Bass, and more.Introducing the continual mix podcast of uplifting and worship friendly EDM tracks, Justin Ocean plays a leading role in the growth of the Christian EDM world. Many DJ’s have followed his success and some in great numbers. Justin Ocean’s Higher Power series still remains as a hallmark Christian EDM podcast and a benchmark for quality EDM worship. His tastes include Trance, many House styles, Dubstep, Drum n' Bass, Electro, and more.Born on the east coast but growing up in the midwest I loved the music from the rave scene but was able to stay out of the drug scene that often accompanied it. Then in the early 2000s I had a vision from God that stadiums filled with EDM worship would be the future.
That vision of legitimate EDM and not the watered down mainstream Christian attempt, propelled me to produce the bootleg mix track Beautiful Savior. That track plus the follow up Higher Power podcast inspired and ignited the Christian EDM movement into what it is today, primarily through Youtube. This is the new sound of worship.

Going forward Higher Power is now a monthly released podcast and the vision for EDM worship is to unite the artists on to record labels and launch the first true national EDM worship festival.
