Citing influences as timeless as James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, and Stephen Stills, Arkansas singer/songwriter Justin Patterson has been delighting audiences for years with his collection of finely crafted songs, delivered through his unique brand of Folk/Rock and Americana stylings. As a solo artist, and as co-founder of the Americana duo Ten Penny Gypsy, Justin has consistently delivered relatable compositions that easily engage any listener.

Justin first drew notice in the late 1990's for his contributions to the Florida roots/rock band The Woody Brothers. Their self-titled debut album in 1996 included his popular compositions "Somewhere in Florida", "The Motherlode", and "Sweet Emily", songs that received extensive radio airplay in Southeast U.S. markets. Justin remained with the group through the release of their follow-up album "Driftwood" in 1999.

In 2016, Justin formed Ten Penny Gypsy with fellow songwriter Laura Lynn Danley and the duo recorded their self-titled debut album under the tutelage of renowned multi-instrumentalist/producer Anthony Crawford (Neil Young, Steve Winwood, Dwight Yoakam.) That effort garnered them nominations for "Album of the Year", "Americana/Roots Artist of the Year", and "Vocal Group of the Year" at the 2018 Arkansas Country Music Awards.

Ten Penny Gypsy built on that success with the release of their critically acclaimed second album "Fugitive Heart" in 2020. The Arkansas Country Music Awards continued its recognition of Ten Penny Gypsy with nominations for "Vocal Group of the Year" in 2019, and for “Americana Artist of the Year” in 2019, 2021, and 2022.
