BIO -

Chad McNeely - Moonchine/The Freakshow  

Chad has been a resident at Tutto Mondo, Mythos, and Crown Station in Charlotte NC along with playing all over the southeastern part of the United States. His nights have been a staple in the Carolina House community. The nights he has hosted have had some of the best in local and regional talent in the southeast along with some world renown dj's like Chris Fortier, Sean Cusick, Lee Burridge, Jimmy Van M, Cass Cutbush, and DJ Taylor to name a few. He was also lucky enough to play on the same bill as the legendary Sasha! Chad's nights did not opt for glitz and glam but for a dirtier grittier take on House music with quality being a must have for the nights! 

He currently is host of a radio show called The Freakshow on Mixlr.com which airs every Saturday night at 7 PM EST.  Every week you will hear his take on downtempo/ambient, house, and techno. Freakshow will feature some older/newer mixes that he has done, special guest dj's and live broadcasts.

Chad has also dabbled in production the past couple of years with releases on Baroque, Tulipa, Disco Rebels, Source of Gravity, and Polytechnic as Moonchine with partner Sean McClellan. You can check these releases out at your favorite online site.

I've been playing some long dj sets recently as part of an All Night Long tour. I have recorded two sessions for you, of nearly 6 hours each, from the London and Amsterdam legs which you can download from here via the mailing list:

The All Night Long tour has given me the opportunity to really explore the music that I love in a live setting, and experiment more than is usually possible when playing with other DJs.

The sets go right through my favourite genres from ambient and post classical to downtempo, house, electronica, techno, glitch and even some of my old drum and bass records when I could get away with it.

Spanning 15 years of producing music under various guises, namely Ali Renault, Cestrian, Heartbreak and more recently his ebm project Parasols, Ali continues to stamp his sound onto an ever evolving scene. A prominent DJ in his own right too with his bi weekly Vivod Radio show on dutch internet station Intergalactic FM for the last 3 years, Ali's sets are these days hard, dark and hypnotic, a departure from the Italo disco sound he has been affiliated with in the past, largely due to his involvement with Italo super duo Heartbreak. He currently focuses his attention on managing his Vivod imprint, djing, remixing under the Ali Renault guise and producing new material for his Cestrian and Parasols projects.

Oceans Deep - Waves

I started mixing in 1993. I never pressed to explode as a DJ I just loved to blend music and create soundscapes and experiences. I am now 50 and still enjoy finding and exploring new sounds, methods and experiences. Electronic music is a universal language that no matter what culture you are from, language you speak or corner of the planet you are on you understand.
First Particle is a reference to the Higgs Bosen also known as the God particle. Referencing the Big Bang and possibly intelligent design. Electronic music is organic, cosmic, and quantum to me which is in contradiction to its machine production. To see the interface between sentient being and machine coalesce into such great tapestries is an understanding of the future that we are just seeing blossom.
