This long anticipated debut EP from Domino Effect Records head honcho's S. Jay & Ostertag has been months in the making and finally lands as DEFECT004. The EP introduces itself with a heavy original production 'Have You' focusing on the huge contrast of bass when it drops.. Beginning as they mean to go on, the following 3 productions feature a carefully selected choice of other Domino artists, including Filthy Rich, Kyle Watson & A. Lister.

'Smoking Mirrors' is another hard hitting garage lick with big reese basses and skanking rhythms, and these boys know how to provide just that, following that is a collaboration with South African bass pioneer Kyle Watson, 'Let Me Down' splits their 2 styles right down the middle as Kyle's touches become apparent as soon as the track hits full flow... Homework, a duo based in Amsterdam, have been teasing everyone with a little track from their upcoming EP on Exploited called "Fissa Tune" to be released on July 2nd. Not much to say about this, except expect to hear it a lot this summer. This is extravagant dancefloor ammunition from "Exploited Records", kicking off with a title track that chops and splices samples of Middle Eastern pipes, klezmer-ish reeds and gulping vocal snippets. It hangs together in an effective, bass-warbling fashion.

A superb varied 4 track Ep of sounds and styles is what we have here. Already the title track is a bit of an underground hit, but pooled with 3 more impressive tracks, makes this release from Exploited Records very sought after. Homework from Amsterdam are back on Exploited. The guys have been busy with touring and remixing the likes of Duff Disco (Dikso), David Keno (Noir Music), Andre Crom (Off) and S.K.A.M. (Gruuv). With another EP lined up on 2020 Vision, this one is their follow-up EP on Exploited entitled: 'Conversation Piece'.
Since their 'Hudson Square' and 'Black Jukebox' releases (which have both become collector's items with prices going up to 99€ on Discogs) the two Dutch men have collected many new fans and followers and it's pretty safe to say that Homework will release their first artist album on Exploited in 2013.
