From following the footsteps of Marvin Gaye growing up in the streets of DC, to the footsteps of the greatest artists of all time through Harlem’s legendary Apollo Theatre, Just L is on the path to becoming one of the industry’s most heartfelt vocalists. His music not only makes a connection to the ear but it connects to the person behind it through its soulful style and sound lyrical content.

Lionel Murray Jr., singer/songwriter/producer/dancer, was born to a family of singers and artists with a natural gift to connect with anyone that crosses his path. “The thing that makes me different from other artists is my ability to put words together and talk to anyone. This is where the music comes from,” says L. “My music is not only answering the need to be entertained, it’s answering the need to be counselled and guided through this life. I’m offering lyrics that make you think about what you’re about to do; lyrics that give you the ability to learn from your mistakes and also from the good things you do in any type of relationship.”

His interpretation of life, love and grand initiative is given to us through his music in songs like “Comfort Me” and “Same God.” With a voice that displays pure natural talent, a few
