Our third release comes from long time serving Glasgow gem & Sunday Circus resident Affi Koman. 3 tracks of bumpin' filter, feel-good joy. We continue our schedule of local heroes and Affi has been a guy we have always been big fans of.

The Belfast based DJ & producer, Garry McCartney, otherwise known as EJECA, has been steadily and consistently building his sound and profile over time, through a series of impressive releases for Aus Music, Unknown To The Unknown, W&O Street Tracks, BPitch Control and Last Night On Earth, amongst others.  

‘The Crystal Maze’ EP is EJECA’s latest offering for Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two label, and comes backed with a rave rollicking Special Request remix.

EJECA carves out an energetic slab of audacious party house on ‘Unloving’, resplendent with rolling beats and stabby chords, and topped off with dramatic strings and vocal chops.  Paul Woolford dons his Special Request guise for the remix; skippy breakbeats, spinbacks, plenty of horns and a thunderous bottom end that is sure to devastate any speaker stack when this one drops!

Elsewhere on the EP, EJECA unleashes some 303 bassline action and dark vocals on ‘Standard Acid House Track’, which thankfully rises well above anything standard!  And on ‘Crystal Maze’, EJECA harks back to the darker dance energies that were a staple of the late 1980s UK acid house boom.  Wrapping up the EP, ‘ISWHATIS’ gets ever so slightly twisted with an orbiting synth hook and weighty stabs over a spirited rhythm section.

It’s up to Brame (Tiarnan Mc Morrow to his parents) this time and yes, his debut release “soul city ep” is a hot piece of house music! “Can’t say much more” is Brame in full effect with some cachty deep house with the splendid vocals of Yemi, “Soul city” is a stripped down club tool and “Set you free” is deeeeeep and magic.
