Monumental times have arrived for Steyoyoke Recordings, as they venture into unchartered waters. This new project accumulates for years of hard work and marks the release of their very first album titled ‘Equilibrium’. Massive Attack's "Teardrop" is a masterclass of the trip-hop here, so much so that even taking on a remix is a dangerous affair. Not ones to baulk at a challenge, Sydney Blu and Jamie Lee Wilson skipped the remix altogether and took on a full-on cover. And it's rad. The deeper house rendition of the version catches the melodic quality of the original, but turns the whole thing into a rumbling groover of a dance tune.

Anjunadeep mainstay Jody Wisternoff drops "The Bridge feat. Sian Evans", his first single of 2015 following last Autumn's “Paramour”, a stand out single from the iTunes chart topping ‘Anjunadeep 06’ compilation.

'The Bridge' is a Wisternoff classic, fusing lush melodic arrangements with dancefloor grooves, with a subtle touch of old school UK sound thrown in for good measure. Sian Evans of Kosheen provides ethereal uplifting vocals.

Shur-i-kan is on remix duties following his Anjunadeep debut 'My Love' which picked up massive Radio 1 support from Pete Tong, Annie Mac and Danny Howard earlier this year. He roughs up the melodic arrangement in favour of a clubbier, more dancefloor focused direction.

With their debut album due in June, Maribou State recently released the 'Rituals' single to keep us tiding over until then.

As with their previous material like the gushing 'Scarlett Groove' and synth-screwing 'Tongue', the Hertfordshire duo served up more luscious grooves with 'Rituals'. What's more, it was released on Ninja Tune-affiliated label Counter Records, following their association with Southern Fried Records.

Now that's out, attention turns to the album, 'Portraits', coming on June 1, and they recently unveiled Pedestrian-featuring 'The Clown', another polished to precision production.

Italian born, Austria based producer @andreafissore's first release within Armada, ‘The Place I Know’ on former Armada imprint M Recordings, has already been a great introduction to Andrea Fissore’s skills as a musician, only to be emphasized by last year’s two track EP ‘Lights/My Summer Vacation’. If you’ve loved those tracks, you’re in for a treat with his debut album on Armada, called ‘My World’.

Each of the 14 tracks on the album combine smooth synths with rhythmic beats and basslines, displaying the exact reason why ‘My World’ belongs out there. Andrea Fissore consistently puts together a warm and satisfying sound, great for dancing and relaxing at the same time.

When listening closely, you can hear every track tell a story of its own. Sometimes narrated by the rhythm, as in ‘See You Soon’, and often shown by enchanting chords like the ones in ‘Away’. But always a delight to your ears, making it impossible to dislike Andrea Fissore’s masterpiece on Armada: ‘My World’.
